Emergency Exit Doors

Milsteel Emergency Exit doors are designed for external fire escape routes to enable the safe escape of building occupants in the event of a fire or other evacuation. Additionally, they can be fitted with the correct handle and lock so the emergency exit doubles as a secure external entrance door. Each emergency escape door is built to order, individually constructed with a choice of hardware, frame, threshold, and panel options, including vision panels, and transom or sidelights – information sheets available on request.

Fully bespoke, these doorsets can be made to meet specifications, with optional superior security features such as astragal and dog bolt hinges. A low-level DDA-approved threshold comes as standard with any emergency exit door.

These Emergency Exit Doors should not be confused with Fire Doors which have a certified fire resistance rating.

Emergency exit doors can be built to serve as fire-resisting doors (fire doors), in addition to their ‘ease of exit’ purpose.
